2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
dash of salt
medium size heart cookie cutters
Sprinkles for decorations
For the glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons milk
In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Set aside
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg , vanilla, and almond extract. Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
Cover and chill for 1/2 hour. On floured covered work surface ,Roll out dough to about 1/8 and cut with medium heart cookie cutter.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool completely on the baking sheet. To make the glaze, in a bowl add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, milk and mix well.
Spread the glaze on top of the sugar cookies and sprinkle one side with sprinkles and Enjoy!!!
