Ingredients
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
2 eggs
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup red sanding sugar
1/4 cup green sanding sugar
1 bag Hershey’s Kisses
Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. Remove wrappers from candies
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Sift cocoa and add to flour mixture.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until well.
Stir in flour mixture until combined
Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Pour red and green sanding sugar onto small bowls. Roll dough ball in sanding sugar and place on prepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 minutes.
When the cookies are done,Press a Hershey kiss piece into center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
